Now that my house is complete it’s time to make a home cooked meal. Sunday afternoon I decided to take a trip to the farmers market in the City Of Portofino. I have been craving French onion soup all week, but I was missing a few ingredients. After taking the short drive in my Lexus LC500, I stopped in and grabbed some onions, garlic, unsalted butter, dry white wine, a French baguette, fruit, and a bag of chips. The market is always organized and clean, so items are easy to find. After I checked out I headed back home to my home in the hills and got to work. The aroma of the soup took over my home like a candle. I couldn’t wait to eat it. Once it was finished I dug in and used a sliced piece of baguette to dip. I must say…I outdid myself. Perfect choice for Sunday dinner. What’s one of your favorite soups?
